The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference 2004 saw 275 on-site attendees (representing 16 Iowa colleges and universities and one Missouri university) and several more joined via the live weblink.

It is that time of year again - time for the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference! This statewide conference has been such a huge success the last two years we are proud to bring you the Third Annual Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference.

This all-day program will bring together college students and faculty from all over Iowa for a day of networking, listening to speakers, and education. The purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for entrepreneurially minded Iowa college students and faculty to network, learn from each other, be inspired by other entrepreneurs, and learn about programs that will help them be more entrepreneurial.

SPEAKERS & AGENDA

This year's conference is proud to have a spectacular group of speakers including: W.A. Krause, CEO of Krause Gentle Corporation; Dan Leese, COO of Beringer Blass Wine Estate of Napa, California; Jerome Conway, President and CEO of Austin Sonics Inc.; Dan Schmitt, CEO of Anthony Allen & Quinn; speakers from Collegiate VIP - an exciting and innovative virtual internship program for colleges and universities; a speaker from Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization to talk about the organization; many young entrepreneurs who have started and are running successful small businesses; and an informational speaker on how to start your own small business.   • STATE COLLEGE Room: Running a Successful Business in Your 20s: Panel - Megan Wettach, Premier Prom & Pageantry; Steve Saltzman, Steve's Mobile Music; and Nichole Priebe, Nichole Priebe Photography
    Session Description: Hear what its really like to own a successful business from three 20-somethings who have worked hard and are enjoying success. Hear the tips that can make all of the difference for any new business. Learn how to balance the conflicting demands of college and running a small business. Get the inside story on how to be a young entrepreneur.
  • PRESIDENTIAL Room: Start a CEO Chapter - Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization
    Session Description: Find out what CEO is and the benefits it has to offer to your school. A representative from Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization will provide information on how to start a chapter at your school.
  • NORTH Room: CEO Chapters, Entrepreneurship Clubs & SIFE - Get more out of them: Group Discussion and Brainstorming
    Session Description: Join officers from many colleges and universities from all over Iowa to talk about best practices for CEO, SIFE and entrepreneurship clubs. Share ideas in this open discussion.
  • SOUTH Room: Networking and Open Meeting Room
    Session Description: This room is open for attendees to use for networking and small meetings. Catch-up with colleagues, have a small group discussion about topics or speakers at this conference, or just take a minute to rest.
