  • 9:00 Welcome and Overview of the Day- Farzad Moussavi, UNI College of Business Administration Interim Dean, and Randy Pilkington, Interim Director of UNI's John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center

  • 9:15-10:15 "What Makes a Person an Entrepreneur & Do You Have What it Takes?"- John will tell you what he really thinks and you can ask him for the inside scoop on business. - John Pappajohn is President of Equity Dynamics and Developer of Pappajohn Capital Resources (a venture capital fund). The fund has more than 35 portfolio companies and has an average annual ROI of 68% for the past 25 years. John has served as director in more than 40 public and private companies.

  • 10:15-11 "The Truth About Money: Venture Capital and Doing a Deal"-- Let Matt and Steve answer your questions about Venture Capital and how you really get the money. - Matt Kinley (UNI Accounting graduate 1990) is Vice President of Equity Dynamics. Matt has worked since 1995 with several portfolio companies during their start-up stages. He previously was Tax Manager for KPMG in Des Moines. Steve Dickinson (UNI Political Science graduate 1976) is a Partner in the Des Moines office of Dorsey & Whitney law firm. He is in charge of the firm's corporate and international practice in Iowa. He represents clients in a wide variety of domestic and international business transactions.

Eric spearheaded ABF's software vendor partnerships. Eric's expertise is in healthcare, strategic alliances, and systems integration.
